Monday Evening Rehearsals

If you are unable to attend the Open Rehearsal, you are welcome to join us at our regular Monday evening rehearsals starting at 7:45 – 9:30pm at Christ Church, Isle of Dogs, Manchester Road, E14 3BN. (nearest station is Island Gardens, on the DLR).

To come along to a Monday evening rehearsal, please contact membership@ldsinger.org

If you can read music, that would be helpful, but not entirely essential. You will learn to read music as you become more familiar with music scores during our rehearsals.

Joining procedure

We do not hold an audition to join the choir. You need to attend 4 to 6 rehearsals as a probation period. You may have a possible audition if thought necessary by the Musical Director before accepting an offer to join the choir.

Subscriptions

The fees are: £100 from September to August, 2017 – 2018. (£50 for concessions)

Concerts

There are 3 to 4 concerts per year and other smaller events.

Choir Days - Saturdays

These are all day rehearsals, with breaks, running from 11am – 5pm, scheduled on a Saturday spent preparing for one of LDS’s main performances, usually 3 weeks before a concert. Attendance on a Choir Day will be essential.
